About Katty

Born in 1985, Katty Laguette grew up in Belle Vue Harel, a pretty little sugar estate in the north of the island. Being fond of that region, she then moved to Fond du sac.

In 2011 and after four years of studies at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Mauritius, she graduated with a Bachelor (Hons.) in Digital Art specializing is multimedia. While studying and afterwards, she had the opportunity to participate in different workshops and short film festivals. She has worked with renowned artists, exposed her work and learned new techniques in multimedia and art.

Katty Laguette is now the artistic director of her own production company: Sugarsplashes Ltd. located in Fond du Sac. She is also a passionate visual artist and a jack of all trades in the area of multimedia. She had the chance to travel and discover new horizons thanks to her art.
